Tinola is a ginger and onion based soup with chicken as the usual main ingredient. Chicken tinola is an authentic Filipino main dish and best complimented with green papaya wedges (an alternative is chayote) and chili pepper leaves. As a traditional dish, the chicken is usually cooked in low heat for quite some time to bring out the natural flavor. This dish is best served during cold and rainy weather because of the warming effect of the soup.

Pinaputok na Tilapia is a Filipino Recipe wherein Tilapia is stuffed with a generous amount of tomatoes, onions, and ginger up to the maximum point that the cavity of the fish can handle. The term “pinaputok” is a Filipino word for explode or burst. It was used to describe the state wherein the fish can handle so much stuffing to the point of bursting.

Pancit Canton is a type of Lo Mein or tossed noodles. This actual noodles are called flour sticks; it is prepared with several ingredients, which makes it look and taste very festive.

Lechon kawali is crispy pork belly deep-fried. It is seasoned beforehand, cooked then served chopped into pieces. Accompanied with a special lechon sauce.

Crispy Binagoongan involves pork being sauteed in tomato and stewed in shrimp paste. The dish is then garnished with slices of chili before serving.

Inihaw na Liempo is known as Grilled Pork Belly in Filipino. It is also a popular and favorite dish in the Philippines;

Adobo is a popular dish and cooking process in Philippine cuisine that involves meat and vegetables marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic, which is browned in oil, and simmered in the marinade. It has sometimes been considered as the unofficial national dish in the Philippines.
